Description

Unique mansion in the heart of the Episcopal city of Condom. Oasis of luxury and charm, entirely renovated in a pure 30’s & ArtDeco style. 4 spacious bedrooms and suites, all with private bathrooms, for up to 8 people on 4 levels. Comfortable swimming pool, private courtyard with summer kitchen, shaded terrace and several lounges with bar, piano and TV. Champagne on arrival!

Built around 1760, this 340m2 private house is steeped in history, but sadly the property had fallen into disuse and remained unoccupied. With a little love, care and attention in 2021 and 2022, this property has now been restored to its former glory, with its original architecture, parquet flooring, oak planks and character features. Today, the property has a champagne theme and features an eclectic mix of French antiques, contemporary pieces and Moroccan touches.

As you enter the house, you will find the Lanson library and hidden bar on your left and a large and very impressive lounge/living room with grand piano, on the right hand side of the hallway. At the end of the hallway is a dining room with a stone floor, there is also a small room with a washing machine and a large fridge freezer.

Outside you will find the courtyard (100m2). The covered terrace has vintage French/Moroccan touches, a summer kitchen with a fridge, plancha, table and chairs and a sitting area.
Further down the courtyard there is a small comfort pool (3.5 m * 2 m – depth: 0.80cm), a rockery and a sitting area leading to the stairs. The stairs lead to the upper terrace, with sun loungers, table and chairs, parasol, which opens onto the kitchen.

The 3 upper floors house the 4 suites & bedrooms and are accessed by a spectacular cantilevered stone staircase.

Around the Champagne House, the Gers offers a cultural, artistic, gastronomic and oenological ecosystem rich in discoveries. Land of d’Artagnan, foie gras, Armagnac and producers, local and seasonal products can be found everywhere in Gascony, in restaurants and inns, on the market stalls, at the winegrowers’ and Armagnac producers’.

We will be able to open the most beautiful cellars and estates of the department for you. A land of encounters and history, classified as one of the great sites of Occitania, you can discover in the Gers, the Abbey of Flaran, the Gallo-Roman villa of Séviac, the round bastide of Fourcés. In season, the night markets of producers and the musical festivals of Jazz in Marciac or Tempo Latino are normally in full swing and always offer, despite the economic situation, delicious moments of conviviality.

Guests information

• Property available exclusively for 4 nights minimum & more. 
• Tourist taxes are not included into the price (1.45€/adult/night).
• A deposit of 1500€ by credit card imprint is required upon arrival
• Pets are not accepted
• Parties with guests and/or external travellers are not allowed
• Check-in: 5pm. Appointment and keys handed over on site
• Check-out: 10am.
